The Cathedral of St. Emidio

Today's appearance of the cathedral is the result of many changes that had taken place between the eighth and sixteenth century. Some remains found during restoration of the crypt from 1967 show that the first temple was built in the fourth or fifth century onto the existing buildings from Roman times. The Cathedral has a fascinating interior, including the crypt of St. Emidio.
