Town Hall and Marketplace
The town square (market), with its dimensions of 100 x 100 m, in the center of Wismar is the largest in northern Germany. It is surrounded by elegant buildings, including the town hall. After the collapse of the originally Gothic part of the town hall, in 1807, it was rebuilt in the Neo-classical style.
